Demo mode
A generated clinic you can click through without an account, a database or keys.
Demo mode loads a generated workspace called Bright Smile Dental: a dental group with two locations (Downtown and Eastside), three AI agents and 120 days of calls, bookings and callers. A banner at the top of every page says you are in the demo.
Turning it on
pnpm demo and pnpm demo:app start the app with DEMO_MODE=true. There is no sign-in: you are the owner, Dana Reyes.
What you can do
- Use every page. Overview, Live calls, Calls, Scripts, Bookings, Callers and Analytics all have data. Two calls are live and move forward with the clock.
- Change things. Mark calls reviewed, add notes, edit a script draft and publish it, confirm or cancel bookings. Changes are kept in memory.
- See it as someone else. In Settings → Demo, switch between owner, admin and member to see what each role can open and change.
- See a locked module. The workspace is on the Practice plan, so Outbound is locked and shows the plan you would need.
- Reset. Settings → Demo → Reset demo data, or restart the server.
What is not real
Nothing leaves your machine. No call is placed, no text is sent, no calendar is touched and no AI model is called. Summaries and classifications come from built-in rules, and the script test uses a scripted conversation engine. Buttons that would contact the outside world tell you what would have happened.
Everything you change is lost when the server restarts.
Production guard
Demo mode refuses to start when NODE_ENV=production, so a production deployment can't accidentally serve fake data without sign-in. To run a public demo on purpose, set ALLOW_DEMO_IN_PROD=true as well.
DEMO_MODE=true NODE_ENV=production # refused
DEMO_MODE=true NODE_ENV=production ALLOW_DEMO_IN_PROD=true # allowed
